Oftentimes we go thru so many burdens and disappointments which can cause betrayal to go on another level. We become disappointed and not want the help of love, even causing us internal pain and insecurities. We question what people do and question their responsibility and even the character of the person.
"Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness;"
Hebrews 3:8 KJV
Oftentimes we can feel discouraged and curse our own very means of “where we can go” and “what we can do”. Believing in what others may have convinced upon us. For example, we may not believe in ourselves and follow the very means of what was taught from our past, but not believe and follow from our heart.
Reading
“Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,
Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?
For God commanded, saying Honor thy father and mother: and He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.
But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightiest be profited by me;
And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandment of men.”
Matthew 15:1-9
Faith
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
Hebrews 11:1
“For we walk by faith, not by sight:” 2 Corinthians 5:7
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6
“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” John 11:25-26
“Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.” 1 Peter 8-9
“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Matthew 17: 20
We maybe experiencing feelings of bitter and discouragement from the crowd and means around us. Feelings of defeat and shame; persuasive feelings causing us not to believe and sacrifice versus giving from our heart. The feelings of not wanting to see someone’s advance because of the bitter and upset upholding in our land or the land we were taught within. Where we may often feel free but trapped and not free. “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32. And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:31-32
Learning
“Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! 6. And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and set on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. 7. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: 8. But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.”
James 3:5-8
Encouragement
Let us take a step and “let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer man.” Colossians 4:6
“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” Ephesians 4:29
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30
Let us uplift our lowly at heart to “Edifying”!
